Description
HAC Spirit Radio
HAC Spirit Radio – Broad Wavelength Receiver for Maximising the Frequency and Channels for Spirits to Maanifest.
The HAC Spirit radio continually monitors AM signals passing through the room, it is wide band, so natural radiation, word AM signals and man made noise fade in and out, changing throughout the day depending on propagation and atmosphere conditions.
In the morning during hours of sunlight noise man made and terrestrial LF signals will be prominent.
During the afternoon and evening AM signals will become stronger and activity really hots up!
Low frequencies and HF frequencies will be monitored, UHF and VHF Am signals if present will break through. Background radiation from worldwide lightning strikes etc. will be heard over the radio signals.
The radio incorporates an EMF monitor LED which will illuminate in the presence of static electrical fields . The tube valve electrodes suspended in a vacuum are used as the antenna. An external antenna can also be connected and tube valve removed during portable operation. The Led under the tube valve will illuminate proportional to the signal strength. You can check the operation of this circuit by touching the EMF aerial post, or stripping back a small piece of sticky tape to create static.

The tube valve is not necessary for the electrical operation of the EMF detector but serves as an indoor antenna.
The radio is supplied with a 5 Meter indoor aerial, in the evening during strong signal conditions a shorter aerial can be used. This is connected to the Aerial contact. To increase the range of the Static detector an external antenna can be connected to the EMF contact.
The output can be monitored by standard stereo headphones, or earbuds. The output can also be fed to a computer sound card or digital recorder for further analysis.
A separate terminal block allows connection to an external amplifier.
The radio requires 3 Volts DC. Current drain is minimal.
There is no tuning as such, signals will randomly be received.
The HAC ( Hear All Continents) is inspired by the early one valve radios and Sprit Boxes receivers.
Removing the phono output and leaving the unit switched on will operate the static detector only and maintain battery life.
The radio is for experimental purposes, best used in a clear outdoor open space with the antenna laid horizontally at its full extended length. Optimum results will be gained if used individually with headphones or when connected to a powerful amplified speaker. This device will require a lot of patience and time to get to grips with.
The following movie clips are from the initial prototype builds and pre-field test stage. Small adjustments have now been incorporated into the design, the results of which are shown in the field test video above.

Hi Andy, have been testing the unit for a week now and have been fascinated by what signals are passing through various locations. Nice to have an investigative tool that is dedicated to the paranormal. I looked at your video on the field test and got similar results but with stronger signals. I found some of my home locations noisy but this must be all the computer equipment I have on. Its early days, I am going to mount the unit in a really cool box to protect it on field trips,. will keep you informed of results and send some pics later Cool product Trevor
