Nanoportal MKIII Ghost Box with Reverb  – Clean Sweep Ghost Box Giving Clear Sound.  An amazing, compact device, ideal for ITC and Ghost Box Session.

Following the in depth field tests for the prototype build of this device, the group that we gave opportunity to test the functionality of the Nanoportal III and its suitability for Paranormal Investigation provided the following feedback…

“We have now field tested the Nanoportal at a lost place location in Germany as well as at home. It works exactly as it’s meant to, very good indeed. I’ve capture spirit feedback direct on tape using this device. Some of the audible output was very creepy indeed. After capturing the stations available on site I tend to run the device with and without the aerial extended for mixed results. The device is very portable which is useful on the move”

This design is possibly one of the clearest Ghost Boxes that you will hear.  A demo of the Ghost Box can be viewed by clicking the play button in the image gallery.  This will demonstrate how all of the features and buttons can be used to their full potential.

MKIII Model – Operates in exactly the same as our MKI Nanoportal but benefits from a more robust updated design with embossed ‘Nanoportal’ decals and rear speaker grille.

The MKIII Nanoportal also has a Bluetooth Input allowing the device to double up as an amplified speaker with echobox reverb which can be used in conjunction with your favourite ghost hunting apps or devices having a 3.5mm output.

The Bluetooth input also has an EQ mode that can be used to adjust the level of high and low frequencies.

Another advanced feature added to the MKIII is a 3.5mm audio output socket that allows you to connect up EVP recorders or Laptop Recording Software so that you can capture and record your ghost box sessions.

A 3.5mm male / male lead will be required to connect non Bluetooth devices and also to connect EVP recorders / laptops to the audio output)

Portable Battery Operated FM Sweep Radio with Regional Scan and Store function and Adjustable Volume and Reverb Control.

This Scan and Store Ghost Box Sweep Radio is not to be confused with many of the ITC devices found on Ebay that are typically built around speaker radios or cheap radios from the far east.  A lot of thought and time has been put into our ghost boxes to offer our customer a functional and unique design.

Unlike A typical Ghost Box such as the PSB7, The Nanoportal produces a high clarity sweep without hiss and white noise.  The speed of the sweep is relatively slow which is deliberate as when the reverb is increased, each audio snippet merges and sentences can form.  Unlike boxes that use pre-programmed word bank, the Nanoportal strings together live audio that is totally random and different each time the device is used.  We have had some great feedback from this device that has help us to refine it to its current state.

These boxes are built to order.  In all cases all orders are built and despatched within a maximum of 10-20 working days.  Please note, as each box is built to order, the location of the control knobs and buttons may vary to the images shown.

To operate the box, locate the switch on the battery box and power it on.  Using the mode button select ‘Bluetooth Mode’ and then connect your smartphone via its settings / Bluetooth menu.  Once your smartphone is connected, you may then switch the Nanoportal between ‘FM Tuner’ and ‘Bluetooth Mode’ depending on whether you wish to use the Nanoportals internal sweep radio or your own Ghost Box App via your smartphone using the Bluetooth Connection.

Handheld ABS Shell with External Battery Compartment

Battery Holders, Supplies power to the circuity. Requires 4 x AAA batteries (Not Included).

Volume Knob, just rotate to adjust the volume. The Ghost Box Radio is fitted with an amplifier circuit and large speaker providing a sufficient level of volume.

Reverb Control Knob, allows full adjustment of the reverb applied.  Can be switched off like a traditional Ghost Box or increased to give full reverb that adds an echo to the audio snippets giving it the same sound as a Spirit Portal.

Scan and Store Button allows the Ghost Box to re-tune to regional broadcast.  The Ghost Box takes around 60 seconds to scan the FM band between 88-108Mhz and stores the broadcasts.  The Ghost Box typically store between 20-30 stations which are then repeatedly scanned at a moderate pre-set rate for optimum results.

Mode Button – Toggles between Bluetooth input mode or the Internal Scan and Store Sweep Radio Tuner

EQ Button – Can be used to filter high or low frequencies from devices connected via Bluetooth

Sweep Button – Actives the sweep when using the internal sweep radio.  This should be switch off when using the Bluetooth Mode.

The Telescopic Antenna can be extended to increase pickup or removed to partially de-tune the reception and introduce a small amount of white noise at certain points of the sweep.
